Challenge
A 15-year-old business running on a mix of WordPress, spreadsheets, QuickBooks, and institutional memory. Production was tracked on Post-it notes. Online presence was a Webflow site that cost $400/mo to maintain and crawled like a 2010 blog.
Approach
- Full replatform to Next.js + Tailwind + Supabase (the stack we now deploy for clients).
- Custom Command Center dashboard: production pipeline, CRM, quotes, invoicing, payroll, inventory sync with S&S/AS Colour/SanMar APIs, QuickBooks OAuth, customer portal with magic-link auth.
- Programmatic SEO for 15 service × city combinations, AI search optimization, blog engine with live publishing.
- Performance budget enforced - 95+ Lighthouse, < 1s LCP target, WCAG 2.1 AA.
Results
- Webflow retainer eliminated - $400/mo reclaimed.
- Customer-facing portal replaced 40+ hrs/month of manual order status emails.
- Inventory sync caught $18k of stockouts before they happened in Q1.
- Organic traffic grew 340% YoY post-migration.
- Team velocity up 4x - internal dashboard ships features in hours, not weeks.
